  • Coverage:
    • 1 L. covers 6-7 m² with two coats

    Surface Preparation:

    • Remove any dirt, oil, and wood dust from the surface.

    New Wood Surfaces:

    • Sand the surface with sandpaper #80/120.
    • Thoroughly clean the generated dust.

    Old Uncoated Wood Surfaces:

    • Sand the weathered surface with sandpaper #80/120.
    • Thoroughly clean the generated dust.

    Coated Wood Surfaces:

    • Do not apply the product directly on pre-coated surfaces.
    • Remove the old paint/varnish from the surface completely with sandpaper.
    • Thoroughly clean the generated dust.

    Application:

    • The product is ready to use and does not require thinning.
    • Stir the product thoroughly before use and check its homogeneity. Repeat this process during the application.
    • Apply the product in 2 coats by brush and wait 16 hours between coats.
    • Perform a slight sanding with sandpaper #180/220 between coats.
    • Wait 16 hours for complete dry.
    • Apply in the direction of the wood grain to get a homogeneous look.

    Maintenance (when the same product had been used before):

    • Do not apply the product directly on pre-coated surfaces.
    • Clean the wood surface completely from dirt and oil and perform a light sanding.
    • Thoroughly clean the generated dust.
    • Repeat the same process as described in "Application" with 1 or 2 coats depending on weathering.
    • Inspect annually and maintain as required.

    Instructions:

    • FOR EXTERIOR USE ONLY.
    • NOT SUITABLE FOR FLOORINGS.
    • Keep the product closed when not in use.
    • The general application temperature of the product is between 15°C to 25°C at a relative humidity range of 40-65%.
    • The moisture content of the wood should max 20%.
    • Do not apply the product under direct sunlight or rain.
    • Do not apply linseed oil, basecoat/primer, yacht varnish before or after product coated surfaces.
    • To provide long-life protection against decay, apply Prime Wood Presever on untreated softwoods and wait 24 hours before applying the product.
    • The product should be stored at temperatures between 5°C to 35°C.
    • Painting tools should be cleaned with soap and plenty of warm water after application.

  • Safety Precautions:

    • USE WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION.
    • KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
    • Do not transfer contents to other containers for storage.
    • Do not use empty plastic cans for other purposes.
    • To avoid overexposure, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying.
    • Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
    • Wash hands after using.
    • FIRST AID: In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with large amounts of water. Get medical attention if irritation persists. If swallowed, call Poison Control Center, hospital emergency room, or physician immediately.
    • Dispose of contents/plastic cans in accordance with national regulations.

  • Ahşap Vernik Ne İşe Yarar ?

    Ahşap koruyucu vernik, ahşabın nemlenmesini, aşınmasını engelleyen ve dış etkenlere karşı dayanaklılığını arttıran koruyucu katman olarak kullanılan sıvı bir çözeltidir.
    Koruyucu katman görevi verniğin en bilindik özelliğidir. Ahşap üstüne koruyucu olarak sürülür. Ayrıca uzun süredir kullanılan ahşap yüzey ve eşyaların yeniymiş gibi görünmesini sağlar. Su itici ahşap vernikler ile ahşabın nemlenmesi önlenir. UV ışınlarına karşı da ahşabı korur.

    Ahşap Vernik Çeşitleri

    Ahşap vernikleri, su bazlı vernik ve solvent bazlı vernik olmak üzere ikiye ayrılırlar.

    Su Bazlı Ahşap Vernik ve Solvent Bazlı Ahşap Vernik Arasındaki Farklar
    Su bazlı ve solvent bazlı verniklerin hizmet ömrü aynıdır. Üretiminde kullanılan hammaddelerin kimyasal yapısından kaynaklı bazı farkları vardır.
    1. Su bazlı vernik kokusuzdur, ayrıca doğa dostudur. Solvent bazlı vernikte üretimde kullanılan tinerin kokusu vardır.
    2. Ahşap, su bazlı verniği daha fazla emdiği için su bazlı ahşap vernik doğal bir görünüm verir.
    3. Su bazlı ahşap vernik daha hızlı kurur.
    4. Su bazlı ahşap vernik içinde daha az VOC değeri bulunduğu için sağlık için daha güvenlidir.

    Ahşap Vernik Seçimi Nasıl Olmalıdır?
    İnsan ve çevre sağlığına duyarlı, doğa dostu, ağır metal ve kurşun içermeyen, oyuncak güvenliği sertifikası olan ahşap vernikler tercih edilmelidir.
    Verniğin nefes alan bir vernik olması da önemlidir, ahşabın ömrünü uzatır.

    Nefes alan ahşap vernik/ahşap boyası nedir ve niçin önemlidir?
    Nefes alan boyalar ve vernikler, uygulanan yüzeyde suyu geçirmeyen fakat su buharını geçirebilen bir tabaka oluşturan ürünlerdir. Dış mekanda kullanılan ahşabın yağışlar ve havadaki rutubet değişmeleri nedeniyle çatlaması ya da ufak bir darbe alması sonucunda yüzeyde oluşabilecek ufak bir çatlak ahşabın ıslanmasına neden olabilir. Tabakanın altındaki ahşabı ıslatan bu suyun kısa sürede kuruması, boyanın ve ahşabın ömrü için çok önemlidir. Ahşabın uzun süre ıslak kalması hem boyanın dökülmesine hem de ahşabın çürümesine neden olur. Nefes alan vernik/boya bu durumu önler. Aynı zamanda ahşaba iyi nüfuz eder ve ahşapla birlikte çalışabilecek esnekliğe sahip olur.
